Hanan Mahmoud Abdul Karim was giving birth to her baby boy at a
private hospital, when her gynaecologist’s phone somehow dropped
unnoticed in her abdomen. After awhile the woman was discharged from
hospital and only noticed something was wrong when the phone started
vibrating inside her.
Later Hanan was rushed to the casualty department where X-rays
revealed a foreign object in her abdomen. Physicians operated on her and
eventually removed the phone. However, Jordanian Health Ministry
spokesman Hatem Al Azrae branded Hanan’s story as a hoax created by
